Since 2010, there have been 3 video games in the series in this order, Metro 2033, Metro: Last Light, and Metro Exodus. I was lucky enough to catch the pre-order on Steam for Exodus.To play metro games in order you have to follow the sequence of the series given down below. I hope they don't go the Epic exclusive route and make me wait. With the amount of radiation that Artyom has taken by the end of Exodus, they could even add powers in the form of mutations to your character. Heck the game could even be as Anna and Artyom's child as a protagonist. (Although I hope it's just a co-op not an open world online experience, personally.)

You could even bring the possible multiplayer they've been talking about with the others following Alyosha and Olga. You do a few missions as the protagonist, be it Artyom or somebody else, and now Alyosha comes back with Olga and the survivors from the forest and now you have to deal with people who followed them as your main point of conflict. This could even be similar to the Two Colonels DLC, where you play from Alyosha's POV. There could even be a DLC where you play as Alyosha going to find Olga and her people from the Taiga. It could also be you are establishing your colony from the good ending and now you have to find people and secure your area from potential threats.
